PDPA Compliance

GEMVEST PTE. LTD. is committed to handling personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (“PDPA”).

We take reasonable steps to ensure that personal data collected through our website, newsletters, media activities, events, partnerships, and related communications is processed lawfully, fairly, and in a manner consistent with the PDPA. Under the PDPA, organisations are expected to comply with obligations including accountability, notification, consent, purpose limitation, accuracy, protection, retention limitation, transfer limitation, and access/correction.  

In particular, GEMVEST PTE. LTD. seeks to:

  • notify individuals of the purposes for which their personal data is collected, used, or disclosed;
  • obtain consent where required under applicable law;
  • collect and use personal data only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances;
  • make reasonable efforts to ensure personal data is accurate and complete where necessary;
  • protect personal data with reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational security arrangements;
  • retain personal data only for as long as necessary for legal or business purposes;
  • provide access to and correction of personal data where required under the PDPA; and
  • ensure that any transfer of personal data outside Singapore is subject to protections comparable to those required under the PDPA.  

We have designated a Data Protection Officer in accordance with the PDPA. Singapore guidance states that every organisation must designate at least one DPO and make the DPO’s business contact information publicly available.
